How to organize my binder?

Our binder

• There are 4 sections to our binder

  • Do Nows

  • Assignments

  • Authentic Tasks

  • Skills

  • MCAS

• They will be organized in chronological order. We will grade binder at the end of each Unit and we will keep all Units in one quarter together

1. Do Nows

• These are given every day. If you are absent or missing some of them. Feel free to come after school to Mrs. Diaz' room (H413) to get those missed.

• If we show a video as a Do Now, please go to our your Google Classroom to watch the video

2. Assignments

• Each Unit will have its own table to contents.

• Please check the Assignments page if you are missing either the assignments or table of content

• The table of contents should be in front of the unit assignments.

• Make sure you use different color pencils to make revisions & corrections to your work.

3. Authentic Tasks

• Authentic Tasks are partner activities

• Only one paper is collected per group

• Projects are individual and are given once a quarter.

4. Skills

• These are individual activities

• They cover topics that students need more practice or students may have shown misconceptions

5. MCAS

• Activities and problems that will prepare students for the 10th Grade Math MCAS

• Activities and problems will be given through the school year as practice

• In May, prior to the MCAS, there will be a much more "standard specific" preparation period.
